Some of my favorite quotes from this bright and humorous woman...
There is something so amiable in the prjudices of a young mind, that one is sorry to see them give way to the reception of more general opinions. -Sense and Sensibility
You men have such restless curiosity! Talk of the curiosity of women, indeed! Tis nothing. -Northanger Abbey
When I look out on such a night as this, I feel as if there could be neither wickedness nor sorrow in the world; and there certainly would be less of both if the sublimity of nature were more attended to, and people were more carried out of themselves by contemplating such a scene. -Mansfield Park
she: Now, be sincere; did you admire me for my impertinence?
he: for the liveliness of your mind, I did. -Pride and Prejudice
“To sit in the shade on a fine day and look upon verdure is the most perfect refreshment.”
To look almost pretty is an acquisition of higher delight to a girl who has been looking plain for the first fifteen years of her life than a beauty from her cradle can ever receive
p.s. by the way, yes, Becoming Jane is worth seeing! (saying that to the women, of course...)

Only women?
Dudette, I am totally into Jane. My daughters and their friends and I are having a Jane outing and going to see Becoming Jane together this weekend. Next to Bourne Ultimatum, it is the most anticipated movie of the summer!
Elizabeth Bennett RAWKS.
And I didn't realize that the phrase, "Just sit there and look pretty" -- which I say to my wife all the time -- was inspired by Jane.
I am really happy that you're totally into Jane! Not enough guys are- they see guys with top hats and talking in british accents, and they're running out of the room. (sterotypically, of course).
And I would say that next to Bourne Ultimatum it was definately the most anticipated movie of the summer for me as well! Enjoy! :)
