Being a daydreamer by hobby, I often wonder about Heaven. I wonder what it will be like- thinking about the different senses: taste, touch, hear, etc. It's kind of surreal to think about how we won't be in human form. (or at least not the broken bodies we're in now). I love to hear Chris Rice's song "Questions for Heaven". It gets me wondering about things and get excited about what is to come. I am a music lover. It is probably the thing that gets me emotional more than anything. So I begin to wonder, "The music in heaven must be the most wonderful thing I can't even imagine... does it play all the time? Is it so beautiful that nobody can do anything but listen to it and cry at its beauty?"
Some questions from Chris Rice's song have stuck with me.
Do You ever play tricks on the angels?
And what happened to all of those dinosaurs?
Where's the Garden of Eden?
And what causes de ja vu?
Do our jokes make You laugh?
What's Your favorite cartoon?
Can you tell me what's out past the edges?
And what about UFOs, taste buds, and tornados?
Why do we dream?
I can't wait for the day when I'll get to ask Him questions. And be out of the pain and insecurities of this life. For now I'll just cling to a few of the tastes of glory that we have on this earth: Weddings, His Word, worship, waterfalls, the smell after the rain, love, fresh apple pie, and many many more.
