Well, Marc's second surgery went well! He went home last night-- he'll have to stay home for at least two weeks before he can go back to school. The doctors discovered he had gotten a staph infection on Sunday, but it's mild and treatable. Marc'll have to stay on an IV for 6 weeks, so prayers that he could just be patient and trust God's will would be appreciated.
I spent Thanksgiving here in Minneapolis with some people from my small group. We made a full (delicious) Thanksgiving dinner and ended up having WAY WAY WAY too much food. We had a great time, though.
I started my new job, it's going well. A lot more laid-back than my other one. Rachael and I went to the movie "August Rush" on Sunday night after house church. It blew my mind. I have never been able to relate to a movie more than that one. I also don't think I've gotten so emotional during a movie in my entire life. If you're a music lover, "August Rush" is a MUST see.
Other than that, Rachael's birthday is Thursday and I'm throwing a party for her on Friday night after the Rock. It's my first time using the party room at our apartment complex. I just went to take a look at it to get an idea and it looks perfect. (it even has a small dance floor!)
Dan and Alex have spent the past week in Switzerland and Germany-- they're supposed to get back today, so I'm waiting in anticipation to hear about their travels. It's still soaking in that my big brother is engaged! By the way, they are both going to Faithwalkers too! So the whole McClanahan clan will be there for the first time ever!
God has been faithful to me since I moved here-- He hasn't let me down. He has provided people in my life to help me grow and learn, and also people to challenge me and really make me grasp the concept "love no matter what". God is good! All the time! (for all those on the Helser team, I just want you to know that I have spread that phrase to the Rockers here too! :)
