i think it'd be interesting to put this map next to a map of poverty percentages in each state. it's far cheaper to eat junk than healthy food. i'm better that on average, the more affluent a state is, the lower their obesity level. it'd also be interesting to line it up with a map of percentages of types of occupations (do people sit at desks or work hard outside?).
Another great thing about America: we have a problem with "poor" people being fat. Er, I mean, obese. I have no data, but this has to be a historical first. That's how great this country is. I also have no data on this, but I refuse to believe that Iowa is fatter than Wisconsin.
